De juiste materialen zorgen ervoor dat uw koepel jarenlang meegaat, op natuurlijke wijze in de omgeving opgaat en egels beschermt zonder risico op giftige stoffen of instorting. Deze les biedt een complete lijst met aanbevolen materialen en praktisch advies over hoe u deze op een duurzame manier kunt verkrijgen.  <\/p>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h4>Kernmaterialen<\/h4>\n<p>Deze vormen de hoofdstructuur van de burcht:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bakstenen, stenen of hergebruikte betonblokken:<\/strong> voor het bouwen van stabiele nestkamers en tunnels.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gewone tuingrond of boomschors: <\/strong>gebruikt als isolatie rond en boven de nestkamers, en vormt het natuurlijke &#8216;dak&#8217; onder de zandlaag.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kleine takjes, bladeren en grof zand:<\/strong> voor de drainagelagen onder elke kamer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bovenlaag:<\/strong> voor het bedekken van de burcht en het ondersteunen van de beplanting erop.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Boomstammen of onbehandelde houten planken (optioneel):<\/strong> om tunnels te verstevigen of waar nodig een constructie te cre\u00ebren.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h4>Plantlaag<\/h4>\n<p>De beplante burcht vereist aarde en inheemse planten.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lokale bovengrond vermengd met compost:<\/strong> verbetert de vruchtbaarheid voor planten en helpt de burcht te stabiliseren.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inheemse planten of grassen: <\/strong>gekozen op basis van uw klimaat (wilde bloemen, mossen, varens, sedums of droogtebestendige kruiden).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mulch, boomschors of bladeren:<\/strong> extra bedekking voor jonge planten en extra bescherming voor egels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h4>Optionele extra&#8217;s<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Natuurlijk dakvilt of geweven rietmatten: <\/strong>als extra waterdichting in zeer natte klimaten (altijd boven de bast\/grondisolatie geplaatst, niet direct in de kamers).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bakstenen met gaten of holle boomstammen:<\/strong> om insectenhabitats in de heuvel te cre\u00ebren en zo natuurlijke voedselbronnen toe te voegen. Deze worden aan de buitenkant van de burcht geplaatst. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Bewegwijzering (voor burchten in publieke ruimtes): <\/strong>een klein houten bordje om het project uit te leggen en verstoring te voorkomen.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3> <\/h3>\n<h4>Tips voor duurzame inkoop<\/h4>\n<p>Om je project milieuvriendelijk en betaalbaar te houden, kun je het volgende overwegen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hergebruikte en gerecyclede materialen: <\/strong>gebruik overgebleven bakstenen, stenen of hout.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lokale inkoop: <\/strong>grond, grind, boomschors en planten van lokale leveranciers verminderen de transportbelasting en passen beter in uw omgeving.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vermijd behandeld hout of giftige materialen: <\/strong>verf, vernis of onder druk behandeld hout kunnen schadelijk zijn voor de bodem en de fauna.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kies alleen inheemse planten: <\/strong>vermijd invasieve soorten en ondersteun de lokale
